The $55 million development will include a new fixed base operation (FBO) led by the award-winning and Kansas City–based Apex Aero Center (apexaerocenter.com), featuring a state-of-the-art 15,000-square-foot terminal building and over 150,000 square feet of new hangar, office, and shop space designed to serve both business and general aviation users. Apex is led by Eiserer, who is notable among aviators in the region for his work growing Hangar 10 at this same airport, which opened in 2009 and subsequently became Atlantic Aviation. “Our experience and success at this airport and several other operations around the region – and the great service we provide aviators along with the great relationships we maintain with our airport partners and leaders is a testament to our selection for this exciting new project,” said Eiserer, who noted he’s “dreamed of this project for years and proud to see it coming to fruition to serve significantly growing demand.”
